Parkinson’s disease

Parkinson’s can affect movement, sleep, mood, cognition and independence, creating challenges for people and caregivers.

Why it matters

Research into neurological health can help explain disease burden, human physiology and opportunities for future scientific work. The underlying mechanisms are complex and many questions remain unresolved.

WHO estimated over 8.5 million people living with Parkinson’s worldwide in 2019. This is a historical estimate, not a 2026 count.

Scientific context

NeuroClearance is interested in questions relevant to this field. No NeuroClearance clinical effect or performance benefit has been demonstrated. These pages describe the science in general terms rather than specific devices or methods.
